Contents and Descriptions of Tapestry Church Kneeler Kits
Our standard kneeler kit is 14"x10"x3" (35x25x7.5 cm) and comes with everything needed to make a complete tapestry kneeler. There are three different collections giving more detailed designs or simpler and quicker working.
The Parish Collection
This collection is our most popular and offers ease of working in simple cross stitch along with a relatively short working time to achieve a fast result. The 5 holes per inch canvas is easy to stitch and doesn't even require a tapestry frame. As with all our collections we use only our own pure wool tapestry yarn and accurate hand printed canvas.
The Minster Collection
The Minster Collection is finer tapestry than the Parish Collection, giving more design detail but still worked in cross stitch to give a hard wearing finished tapestry. The design is accurately hand printed on 7.5 holes per inch canvas which makes it just as easy to follow as our Parish Collection.
The Cathedral Collection
This is a recent addition to our range for those wanting traditional tapestry on 10 holes per inch canvas. These designs are all hand printed on the canvas making them more accurate than automated printing allows. Add to this our own pure wool tapisserie yarn and you have a top quality tapestry kneeler that will fit in any situation.

Each kit contains:
- Hand produced accurate colour printed canvas
- Pure wool tapestry yarn
- High density foam pad
- Base cloth, needle and instructions
- Iron-on dedication label to personalise your work
Our standard kneeler kit is 14"x10x3" and is supplied with everything you need to make a complete tapestry kneeler. If however you would prefer a deeper kneeler all designs are available with deeper sides and are included in our price list. For kneelers larger than our standard size we can offer a free quotation. Our range of standard kneeler designs are complemented by pew cushions with top dimensions 14" x 12" and a depth of 1" (2.5cm). For kneelers with design on the sides the pew cushions will be supplied with plain sides. The kits also have the addition of a piece of non-slip material to prevent them moving when in use. The designs illustrated are only a few examples as all designs are available, please check the price list for information on ordering.
An alternative to individual pew cushions is to have one or many designs on a full length pew runner. Examples are shown on our Pew Runner page.
